<li>Review steps of the skill and reasons for using it.</li>
<li>Ask students if they would greet their grandmother the same way they would a friend. Compare and contrast a few more examples (e.g. cashier at a store vs a coach).</li>
<li>Discuss different situations and why it is important to use the skill of Greeting Others.</li>
</ul>

Tuesday

<li>Review steps of the skill and reasons for using it.</li>
<li>Group students into pairs and have them role-play 3 different greeting scenarios.</li>
<li>Discuss how greetings in the role-play scenarios looked and sounded different.</li>
</ul>

Wednesday

<li>Model steps of the skill and provide reasons for using it.</li>
<li>Ask students to share their experiences using the skill over the past week.</li>
<li>Ask students to identify potential reactions of others when greeting them.</li>
<li>Potential Skill Extension: Introducing Yourself. Introduce the skill and steps. Discuss how this skill complements Greeting Others. Demonstrate what it might look like to use the skills together. Discuss why it is appropriate to introduce yourself after greeting someone you have never met before.</li>

Thursday

<li>Review the steps of the skills and reasons for using them.</li>
<li>Have students make an SEL Journal entry describing Greeting Others/Introducing Yourself and what specific words and actions they use when utilizing each skill.</li>
